They look like stickers like every proto TLC makes. That pic does really look legit: stickers, proto material for the hair and tricorn !! Really I'm excited by this great news (still awaiting confirmation though but I'm really optimistic about it).

And don't forget magnets ;) It will be like Indy: we'll have an overload of Sparrows :D You can bet he has to be in every set !! At least we can hope and see one in tribal makeup: that would be so sweet :geek:

EDIT: BTW Youtube got rid of the teaser, do you know where to view it ?

Well I can think of 3 ships of course: the Pearl, Norrigton's flagship (forgot the name  ) and a chinese small boat.

What I mean is that for the beginning I will assume Lego will be releasing sets/figures based off this 4th film. But i hope that becoming that popular they revisit the last 3 films to release sets like the Interceptor with Adm. Norrington and The Black Pearl.

As per my previous Post Adm.Norrington was commander of the Interceptor... he told Sparrow 'you have to be the worst pirate i have ever seen' then Sparrow steals the Interceptor... before one of Norringtons men says 'that has to be the best pirate i've ever seen' and Norrington remarks 'it appears so' :D

Nice vid! I'd like some cool new ships, but the ship that is for sale at the moment is pretty good already if you ask me, albeit expensive...

Hey Guys,
We've pieced together the puzzle so to speak. When do you expect TLC to make all this 'official'? :) I'd like them to at least step forward and let us know. I'm hoping they do release some ultra cool sets. I havent swayed so much into pirate lego just yet but i could be tempted when i get these sets :D

I'd also like to see some more pictures. :D

They will announce when they finished some of the sets so they can show a little bit.

Well i would expect TLC to follow the same kind of tatics we saw for Toy Story. First a few sets from the older films then the new set to go with the release of this new film.

I would love to see if they do a Flying Dutchman ship :geek: just imagine all those cool barnacle covered minifigs :D

Don't worry, it is :geek: I was really certain it was going to happen because of all I posted so I'm really happy to be correct, that line will kick ass !!

A question still remains: will we have sets based on the first trilogy ? Apart from a sweet Davy Jones, I don't mind at all.
W'ell have a new hottie, 3 famous pirates (Barbossa, Blackbeard and Sparrow) + monsters, mermaids... :geek: Its a great opportunity once again for TLC to amaze us with new amazing creatures. I can't wait to have a sweet Black Pearl set !!

I can't wait to see protos of those sets !!

I'm assuming that all the lego sets that will be coming out will be related to POTC4 right? So if i find any more articles relating to this film, are you guys cool with me posting them up? They certainly make for interesting convo. I've not actually got alot of Pirate stuff myself, so i'm not entirely sure of the criteria for each figure.

In any case, just looking at the 2 characters, it would be interesting to see if any more articles and photos are available in the next few weeks. I saw the cpt.sparrow picture on the main page, even without the title i kinda knew who it was. I wonder what Barbossa and the others will look like. It's all very exciting isnt it? :)

I got this from wiki.
Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past, and he's not sure if it's love--or if she's a ruthless con artist who's using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne's Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard, Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn't know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past. Set to be released May 20th, 2011 in 3D and IMAX 3D.

so we get Revenge which is a ship, and blackbeard, Jack Sparrow and Angelica as well as Barbossa characters. if tlc are releasing sets based on the film to maximise their sales then we'll get some of these. :D

I do hope at some point, whether it is before or after the release of POTC4 figures they go back to release older characters, i'd like a Miss Swann and Will Turner. Maybe even if they released them as mail order type deals, where by you collect x amount of tokens from the purchase of their current pirate products and send them in to redeem your sets. That would make them collectable items (real treasures) :D
