Dragons BP Pic Review

Postby xwingyoda on Sat Jun 19, 2010 11:40 pm

My castle fanatics, let me do the honor of reviewing both new Kingdoms BPs :geek: I'll start with the Dragons one ;)

Both BPs do have 5 figs: 3 different torsos and 1 printed legs. The dragons BP featuire that new hellmet which is really a thing of beauty :geek: Also its great to note that the helmets are pearl dark grey: its really a perfect color

Here are 2 of the more classic figs:

I'll finish with the amazing and cool looking knight :geek: Its really a perfect fig: its the rarest and best torso IMO, has a sweet printed armor & that splendid helmet. Also I love the face :geek:

Hey yoda! thanks for the review, can you tell me about the quality of those BPs? I heard that they are kinda cheap, is it true or people are a bit overreacting?

You know its a good question mate ;) I've heeard a lot of people complaining on their BPs, but I never had 1 single quality issue on the former fantasy era BPs, nor with these ones ;) The only minor inconvenience I had was with the printings on the pirate BP which is really not a problem. But here none of that printing "issue"

So for me the quality is excellent ;)

Also I forgot to mention that my shop is selling those 11€ which is really cheaper than on SAH ;) I'll go and get myself some more to keep me waiting for the sets to come out in shops ;)

That final knight is a amazing fig! :geek: The printing on the armour is stunning and he still has torso printing front and back and the legs!! Very, very cool! 8-)

Thanks mate! That's what I thought from the first seen but wanted to be sure since a lot of people were complaining. I think I'm gonna buy the Dragons BP.

Thanks for the review Yoda! Great figs, and I really like it that TLC is going more classic with the castle line this year. 11€ for 5 figs is a good price too imo.

The quality is better, but this is still made in China with the cheaper plastic. The neck printing is missing and there are the tabs on the insides of the arms. Also the torso printing (the shiny metal printing especially) isn't as good as from the regular sets...not as reflective. Most likely a different, cheaper ink.

I think so too. The torsos are a tiny bit more dull than normal. In the Pirate BP for example, the medallion on the torso of the soldier just isn't as shiny as the soldiers in the real pirate sets. 8-)

Can anyone enlighten me on why there is that black mark on the neck anyway? :?
