Flying Mummy Attack Review #7307

Postby JPS97 » Mon Feb 21, 2011 2:45 am

After finally getting my camera working I figured it was about time to do some reviews! First off the flying mummy attack:
Offical description:Jake Raines swoops down from the sky in his armored biplane to seize the soul diamond from atop the obelisk. Suddenly, 2 flying mummies arrive to claim the treasure for their master. Who will win this epic air battle?
First off the set over view:

Figures
Jake Raines:In this version you get a Jake with the bomber jacket.

Flying Mummy:Our regular mummy with wings! Both mummys in the set have two faces which you can see in Yoda's review of the the battle pack.

The wings:

Obelisk: This carries one of the legendary treasures of Amset Ra.

The Bi-Plane:
It's a bit cramped but it's good for it's purpose.

Main function: The Bi-plane takes the treasure with it's claw and flies off!

Final thoughts: Excellent set. Out of all the sets in this line I love this one the most. As this is my first review i'm sorry for any things I may of left out. if you tell me I will be more than happy to upload more pictures for you! More reviews will be on the way soon!

Cheers for the great review ;)

I do have this set and I really love it: great figs and extras, and I really like the plane, its smaller and shorter than the Indy plane but thats really neat.

The only thing I modded is that I took off the play feature arm ;)

Thanks for the feedback Yoda! I never thought of taking the arm off till now. :P I'll go do that now.

Well I really don't care about play feature and that arms doesn't do much in terms of design, the plane is really better lookig without IMO ;)

Also I think the upper part of the obelisk keeps falling down thanks to the play feature so I just fixed that modded 2x2 tile directly on top of it so it doesn't come off ;)

I think that play feature is really neat but I really don't use it so I just got rid of it ;)

I still need to get myself the rest of the line: but that sphynx will be really hard to mod  I'll take that challenge once I finish my ongoing projects ;)

Nice review JSP!

Like you, I really like this set but it will not likely make it onto my list of purchased sets. The figs in this line are of such a high quality and even the cheaper sets are tempting even to a SW geek like me. :D

The Bi-plane looks very good too. Are the details on the plane printed or stickers?

Sadly stickers  If they were printed though it would be great. Thanks for the feedback!
