The Atlantians have the sea creatures to defend them, along with the handy ability to breathe underwater so I don't think it's too unfair!

But still I pretty nice theme

Several of the sets come with the disc / key thingys and I'm still really curious as to what they're for - possibly for use with other scenery objects in the future or they may fit in to the big sea creatures.

It just seems like these sets have a 'killer feature' that we've not found out about yet, although I have no idea what it is.

:D I have rice pudding instead of brains at the moment!

I was just thinking that the disc things may have another use somewhere. At least one of the underwater vehicles has a shooting mechanism so they could be some sort of Atlantian weaponry.

Knowing TLG and their weaponry policy, I would only assume those dics would serve as keys. Now one thingis for sure: ther are several colored keys and only 1 lock in the templ set. So there should be something else I hope :geek:

Also and on a funny note that trident can really serve new neat functions such as:
* fork for fries
* party sausage pick
* fishing device for the pesky olives in a martini!
:D

So it seems that Toys R Us screwed up and started to sell some of the Atlantis sets early,i have also read reports of the SP3 sets being sold too.

As you can see below some pics of purchased sets are showing up online already.

From what i have heard it was in the USA, which isn't surprising as they usually get the Jan sets before Europe.

Here's some of the box art pics, with the 'confidential' removed from them - all coming up as available from 1st Jan on Amazon USA.
