Went to see Paramore at Manchester Arena last night. Was a pretty good show, though I was split up with the people I went with after their first song :P there were three support acts rather than the one stated originally; in the end there was You Me At Six (who I hadn't listened to before... and never will again *shudder*), Now Now the Children (or something to that effect, a kooky synth band, quite good actually) and Paper Route (didn't like them either). As for Paramore, Hayley stole the show as usual - awesomely energetic and cute as ever :D shame she's blonde now rather than a redhead though :( :P

The setlist was pretty decent, mostly played the new album with the best (read: best-known) songs off the other two.

I went to the Bataclan last night to see Slash. Man that concert was epic !! He played some titles from his latest album, some Snakepit and some Velvet Revolver. Man it was a blast !!

And we had a freaking awsome surprise: Alice Cooper came to sing his famous School's out :geek:

And during Paradise City I was really in another state :D

That concert had so much energy and what have you, way more intense than Muse I saw at the Stade de France a few days ago :twisted:

Sounds great, who's playing ?

Well crowds are always a pain in the ass: for instance at the Muse concert all the new fans were screaming like bloody idiots on the new crap songs but remained nearly silent for some old great songs - WTF really ?

And the crowds in France seem to have gone numb, go figure

Man, you're all metallers! The last gig I went to was the Prodigy a few years back (thats kids for you), and prior to that it was Morrissey. I shudder to think what my poor ears may do if I had to deal with Megadeth, although I'd go see Anthrax if they did 'Bring the noise' :D . You can tell i'm not a real greb, I like the black album :D

On this basis i'm glad about my choice for Imake the lyrics (to be revealed....), but i'm almost tempted to go with my plan B of disco or the Carpenters and see what response it gets....

I remember seeing the prodigy at Reading festival in 1998 i think - Overnight they had installed what seemed like hundreds of base bins along the front.. when they opened the initial sub base note caused most of the front row to throw up - hilarious :D

Don't knock the carpenters ;) they were choice number 3 :D

That is a sad loss. Tony Iommi is organising a tribute for the UK festival date (news here), so there may be something arranged at sonisphere as a surprise.

First Day in Sonisphere;

Rammstein was awesome and even though weather was looking bad, there was no rain :D There wasn't any other interesting band so i'll make this short.

Day Two; (and just tell me if you want me to collect all of those messages on 1 post)

Today was the second best concert I've ever been!(After Judas Priest) Opening Bands were pretty amateur but they managed to fire the crowd so we had great fun :D after that, Manowar came and everyone just gone mad, apeshift, I don't know how to explain that :D They were just awesome and their performance too.

After Manowar, Accept came and I must admit that I didn't really listen him until today. But they managed to surprise me with their awesomeness :D Especially when their vocalist said; "I heard some bands named Big Four coming tomorrow, Who the fuck are they? You are here for us right?" and they said it in Turkish so it was pretty impressive. :D Most of people didn't know much about them but everyone really liked them.

That was all for Day two, my neck hurts so much, goodnights.

Keep going like this Dharkan, it's really interesting to hear how you're getting on!
Rammstein sound like they were proper stomping fun but I've not really heard much of the others you mention. I bet manowar were fun for the thearter aspect, though.

Enjoy today and mind your neck :D

and the Last day;

Big Four all day! Day started early with Anthrax, they were ok I guess, I don't really like them so I just listened, after them, Megadeth came and they were great! It was nice to listen Dave live! They played lots of old songs aswell. Slayer came after them and they were just kickass! Reign in Blood, Angel of Death! everything was perfect. And finally, my old friend Metallica came and last 2 hours of Sonisphere started with Creeping Death :D and the concert ended with Seek and Destroy.

It was a really nice and well worth 3 days festival, I'm glad that I've attended.

I'll throw my music hat in the ring even though it doesn't necessarily fit with the Rammstein-esque stuff you guys are seeing. The last show I saw was Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan & John Mellencamp ( :mrgreen: ). That was last summer. Since I'm a new dad and whatnot I've slowed down a great deal in the past year. I'm going to see one of my favorites this Friday though, Phish. I believe this will be my 30th time seeing them live. My all time favorite live shows: Stevie Wonder, Radiohead, Beck and the Foo Fighters. Top of my list to see that I have yet to see: Ben Folds and Weezer.
