well i don't know what to think of the city sets, really... the recycle truck looks very nice, but the rest doesn't look all that special . it seems all the vehicles are a bit larger/wider than a few years before and some of the models are just ... weird...

i have the feeling that Lego can do so much more with these parts and colors

Oh look, the new promo airline set:

It really looks nice: I like the glider even if the car is simple ;)

Brickset has the story

Bit sloppy if you ask me this one, the glider looks a tad too Jack Stonish for my liking and the car got studs showing all over the place! Good find though, seems there hasn't been any 'City' news in ages!

Just found new pics of the mining summer theme:

Good looking sub theme which I'm not interested in. However I'll need a couple of those mining hats :geek:

Following the beach party set here is the rock band set :geek:

Weird combination: a crappy raper, punk and emo-ish :geek: I prefer my ustom drum kit but its a nice touch from Lego !! Rock On !!

This set is a great idea but crappy implementation!
The flying V should have been used in place of that rubbish brick built guitar - either that or maintain the guitar and substitute the fig for bo didley holding his weird guitar :D (a Gretsch G5810, according to the interwebs ;) )... at least he's playing it properly with his left hand!!!

The drums too could do with a bit of work but the idea is great :)

I'm looking forward to finding out what other minifigs that will appear in these small compilation sets - my money is on a cirscus one and a skater boy / girl pack!
